I believe in Karma , and I also believe in reincarnation ; otherwise how do you explain bad things happening to good people and vice-versa ?

Leaving aside these points , it still behooves us to be good in this life , if we believe that Man was created in God's image.

We should also strive to do our best , since that is the only way we can give thanks to our Creator.

I agree karma but not everyone are successful at the end it is the luck which matters a lot. A person who wants to be successful does not depend on luck, either he does hard work but a the end it the luck which decides the success........

So luck is also important to be successful.....

It has been the main concept of Bhagvat GITA: KARMA OR REINCARNATION...your karma decides your fate..So do your karma and dont worry about results..luck is sketched by karmic values...make your karma worthful..you will be lucky!!

Sorry Mr Suresh to differ, What do you think Zardari , rabri devi and shibu ARE lucky-- No THEY have done their karma in their desire direction to achieve their feats, THAN- are they respected in society ?

Why dont u look at Einstein, Napoleon , Alexander , Kalam, Subhash chandra bose, Mahatma Gandhi , Rajeev Gandhi , Bill gates, Michel Dell, Henry ford.

Karma is a tangible thing which we can plan & do. Also we can see the result also. But we are blind about luck. Therefore, when the result is not as per expectation ,we blame our luck rather appraeciating others luck. Also we have the tendeny to criticise more than appreaciation. Appreaciation means to have enhanced level of committment towards reaching the target. So , Karma is proportional to committment.Blaming luck is a consolation.

It is luck & karma combo , the ratio depends upon case to case basis. If you achieve something , it is bacause of your karma and if you don't, it is your bad luck.

Believing on Luck or existence of luck , is very good remedy to console your self against failures, when u dont get desired result, your brain need somebody to blame for it or else you will feel negative so blaming on luck is very good thing.

sometime it really requires to blame third person or thing, but lot of people start using it against each failures and stop probing them self and thats what my concern area's is. Do your karma with 100% faith and believe - ( 100%)

you will get your result and you will nt have a space to think about luck or duck :)

Please understand the working of KARMA and Stop waiting for luck, u r your fortune maker.if you follow and implement this, the moment u fail or dont get result, u say boss i did everything still, i was nt lucky. actually there was something missing in preparation or execution.

THE FOUR OUTLINES OF KARMA:
1. Karma is definite in that virtuous actions lead to happiness and non-virtuous actions lead to suffering.
2. Karmic imprints increase; the result is greater than the cause.
3. One will never experience a karmic result one did not create the cause for.
4. Karmic causes created are never lost.

To bring a full karmic result, all four components must be present and complete:
1. The basis or object of the action.
2. The thought: the state of mind of the person preforming the action. This has three parts: recognition, motive, and delusion.
3. The deed: actually preforming the action.
4. The completion of the action.

The meeting of preparation with opportunity generates the offspring we call “Luck. And this is my observation, it’s a funny thing about life; if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it. The great end of life is not knowledge but action, ie one’s “Karma.”

Tnx for ref Kavitha.

I do agree with you Kavitha.  Luck is highly required for the karma.  A labour works hard through out the day but remains worker and another person who have the both leads to progress.  Karma is the basic but it must be supported by the Luck for the way to success. Luck only can work but karma only is not too successful.

I believe in Gita where it clearly says do your karma and leave rest to God. So it all boils down to Karma. If you do good deeds fruitful results are most likely to follow. However it cannot happen the otherway round ie without karma the results are likely to be zero. Ofcourse karma along with destiny is the best option.

Karma is very important as it shows the right way and the way achieve success. But ultimately Luck is the moral of all the stories of success. Do your karma and luck will favor you. If the Karma wont be done and everything will be left on luck then the luck will not even favor. So Luck is directly or indirectly related to Karma. But if you do your karma and the luck is not favoring you then one is helpless until and unless the reward of luck is not achieved. Luck.. Luck.. and Luck is always important to get the success and reward.

I will go DESTINY not luck. But nearest choice here is luck.

I strongly beleive that destiny is fixed and your karma happen accordingly.

My belief in destiny is so strong that I beleive in God but do not pray.

Everything is pre-fixed and that gives you inspiration to do your karma. You will find it surprising that even when you beleive totally in destiny it will not be possible for you to lie idle. Your destiny will not allow you to not to do your karma.
